[ ] Landing Gear Handle - DOWN (on land) or UP (on water)
[ ] Water Brake - IN for taxiing on water or land
[ ] Parking Brake - ON (if on land)
[ ] Throttle Lever - CLOSED (Min.)
[ ] Propeller Control Lever - INC. (100%)
[ ] Fuel Cutoff - ON
[ ] Battery Master Switch - ON
[ ] Fuel Tank - Full
[ ] Cowl Flaps - OP (100%)
[ ] Mixture Lever - FULL RICH (100%)

ENGINE START

Press CTRL+E to initiate engine auto-start sequence, or:

[ ] Propeller area - CLEAR
{ ] Announce CLEAR to surrounding personnel
[ ] Confirm - NO FUEL FLOW
[ ] Magneto Switch - BOTH
[ ] Starter Switch - START
(click switch and hold until engine starts)
[ ] Engine Oil Pressure - CHECK for pressure (If no oil pressure
in 30 seconds shutdown and investigate problem)
[ ] Fuel Press - CHECK for at least 14 to 16 psig within 30 seconds
[ ] Oil Temperature - Less than 131 deg. F.
[ ] Starter Switch - OFF
[ ] Beacon, Navigation Lights and Strobe Lights - ON as required
Note: To set light switches in proper setting, due to start up defaults with FS2002, enter the cockpit and flip the three light switches (Nav, Beacon, Strobe) to the "On" position. Cycle the "L" key a few times and leave in the on condition. The cockpit light switches are now in the proper orientation and it should not be necessary to use the "L" key any more. Unfortunately, this process will have to be repeated every time you start up FS2002.
[ ] Radios - SET AS REQUIRED
[ ] Idle at 1,200 RPM to allow oil temp. to stabilize

[ ] OIL PRESSURE - 65 - 75 psig (If oil pressure drops or
fluctuates when throttle is opened, reduce speed and continue
warm-up
[ ] Throttle Lever - Set to 1,800 rpm
[ ] Check Magnetos - CHECK RIGHT (No more than 50 -75 RPM drop,
do not exceed 15 sec. when running on one magneto)
[ ] Magnetos - BOTH - Run for short time to clear out engine
[ ] Check Magnetos - CHECK LEFT (No more than 50 -75 RPM drop,
do not exceed 15 sec. when running on one magneto)
[ ] Magnetos - BOTH
[ ] Throttle Lever - Set to IDLE AT 1,200 RPM
